(KNSI) – Saint Cloud will get a small taste of Hollywood when the city hosts a movie premiere for a film shot in the area.

Matt Luczak with Pale Horse Studio went to Saint Cloud State University and recently made his first full-length film, “Waking Night.”

“All of the actors that we use are community actors. So, you may have seen them in the community theater shows. I know a couple of them to act there. We have a bunch of brand-new actors who’ve never acted before, which was super exciting. We just really wanted to use the talent that we have in this area. We had open additions and we had over 70 people sign up and it was really great.”

The movie was filmed in Saint Cloud and Little Falls. The suspense thriller will debut at Pioneer Place on Fifth on September 16th at 7:00 p.m.

“And we’re super excited just to kind of put on an event, you know, because that it’s just something you don’t see around here a lot, especially for this sort of artistic endeavor.”

Luczak says they’re making it a little like a red carpet event and ask people to dress up.

After the movies Saint Cloud premiere, Luczak says they’ll show the film on the festival circuit in hopes it gains some recognition.
