(KNSI) — The search for a woman who removed her son from protective custody Tuesday is over.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Zenitra Lee and nine-month-old Jakhi Forester were found unharmed in Hager City, Wisconsin. Deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department located the two and arrested Lee.
Lee, who sometimes goes by the name Zenitra Forester, was in a supervised parenting visit with Jakhi at the Scott County Courthouse in Shakopee when the two vanished.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Scott County Sheriff’s Office thanked everyone who helped look for them. The incident is still under investigation.
In a statement, Scott County Sheriff Luke Hennen says he knows the public will have numerous questions about the abduction and adds those will be answered when the charging documents are released.
