(KNSI) – All four Stearns County Princess Kay of the Milky Way finalists are still playing a big part in this year’s Minnesota State Fair.

KNSI caught up with twins Hailey and Kallie Frericks of Albany at the fairgrounds, where they had nothing but praise for winner Rachel Rynda. Hailey says Rynda will be a great ambassador for the dairy industry over the next year.

“Rachel will do an amazing job. She’s truly capable of this position.”

The twins, like all finalists, have had their likenesses carved in butter, which you can find in the Dairy Building if you make your way to the Great Minnesota Get Together.

Hailey says the backing from the area was incredible as they went through the months-long competition.

“It’s pretty amazing, and to see all of the support from our home county just really means a lot.”

The Frericks were the first ever set of identical twins both named finalists in the same year. They were joined by Briana Maus of Freeport and Alex Christen from Sauk Centre. Rynda, who is beginning her reign as the 69th Princess Kay, hails from Le Sueur County.
