(KNSI) — According to officials with Wright County, “it would appear our long regional nightmare will be over by a week from Friday…at least for those driving on I-94 in the section between Monticello and Clearwater.”
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the week of Labor Day, starting September 6th, the finalization of the work on the 15-mile stretch between Monticello and Clearwater will take place on the lane expansion project that began in 2019. In a work statement, MnDOT said there would be short-term nightly lane closures in eastbound and westbound lanes for final grading and striping on those dates.
Advanced signage will be in place to notify drivers of the lane closures.
