(KNSI) – The Stearns History Museum is asking Central Minnesota residents to submit their best hotdish recipes.

Museum officials will compile them into a Stearns County hotdish cookbook that will be available online. Program Curator Caitlin Carlson says they will collect recipes for the next month and need the area’s help.

“Please submit hot dishes and we can’t do the cookbook if you don’t submit them. So, if you got your favorite tater tot hot dish or three bean hot dish or something I’ve never even heard of, we want that recipe and we want to make that cookbook.”

The cookbook and recipes will be available on the museum’s website. She says hotdish is a staple food in Minnesota, especially when the weather get colder.

“You’re wondering what to make on a cold January night you can just go to our website and look up one of our Stearns County famous hotdishes.”

To submit those recipes, you can send them to the museum vis Facebook, email or drop them off. Recipes must be submitted by September 24th.
