the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The toys arrived at a refugee camp in Poland earlier this month and are being handed out to kids in need.
Officials say the resource center usually collects toys for military children with parents from central Minnesota deployed out-of-state and overseas. During April’s Month of the Military Child toy drive, the Veterans Resource Center shifted its efforts to focus on Ukraine.
After the collection ended, the resource center worked with an international refugee assistance organization providing help to children who fled with their families.
