(KNSI) — More than 5,700 cases of Capri Sun drinks are being recalled due to possible contamination.
Capri Sun parent company Kraft Heinz issued the voluntary recall for the Capri Sun Wild Cherry flavor after it was determined diluted cleaning solution may have gotten into some of the pouches. Customers complained about an off taste, leading to the investigation. No one has gotten sick as a result. The recall is out of an abundance of caution.
The best when used by date on the products is June 25, 2023.
In a statement, the company says it is working with its retailer partners and distributors to remove the potentially contaminated products from circulation.
Customers with the affected product are asked to return it to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund.
