Semi Crash Snarls Traffic on Interstate 94 Through Construction Zone

(KNSI) — Drivers on Interstate 94 near Silver Creek ran into more than just the usual snarled traffic Friday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says about 6:30 a.m., they were called to a semi crash on I-94 at milepost 186 in the construction zone near Hasty. The semi hit the barrier, pushing the lane dividing barricades into the westbound lanes. The road was wet at the time following heavy rains Friday morning.

The state patrol closed the left lanes in both directions for cleanup.

No one was hurt.

Also Friday morning, a semi crashed in the median on Highway 10 north of Sartell. East or southbound traffic was closed at County Road 33 for a time so crews could clear the road.
