(KNSI) – Saturday morning’s consistent rain kept things damp long enough to force a postponement of the Movie Under the Stars event.
The St. Cloud Park and Recreation Department says yard games, inflatables, and door prizes will all still be present on the backup date, set for Friday, August 26th. The fun starts at 7:30 at the Whitney Sports Complex on the city’s north side.
Disney’s The Rookie has been selected as the feature film for the night. It begins screening at 8:30.
The movie first came out in 2002, with Dennis Quaid in the lead role. He plays Jimmy Morris, a high school science teacher and baseball coach who tries out for the pros in his thirties. Morris is eventually signed by the Tampa Bay Rays. It’s based on a true story.
