(KNSI) – A central Minnesota man’s dream is about to come true.

R.U.R.A.L. Music Ministries organizers Dan Roeschlein and Tim Potoczny are throwing a four-day Christian music concert in Isle this month. Roeschlein says he grew up going to Christian concerts and missed the music and the camaraderie. Tim said he wanted to bring Christian music to rural communities.

“It has literally been my dream. When I wake up at night, that’s my dream. I feel like I’ve done it in my dreams a million times and he [Tim] said let’s do this thing.”

The dream became a reality when he met Tim last year, who bought McQuoid’s Inn and moved from Chicago to Isle. He says at first, it was hard to get the ball rolling.

“You know, when you throw a first-year festival, a lot of people don’t take it seriously because they don’t know what’s going to come of it. ”

The first act to be booked was Sanctus Real and after that, he said everything started to fall into place. The concert has grown to more than a dozen national contemporary Christian recording artists. They will be in Isle from August 25th through the 28th.

The concert is at the old Isle V.F.W. property, now called Redemption Hill, at 43694 Highway 47. Dan says more than 2,000 people have RSVPed for the show so far. The cost is a free-will offering. Camping is also available for a fee.
