(KNSI) — All U.S. and state flags at state buildings in Minnesota will be flying at half staff Thursday to honor U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski of Indiana.
Walorski, two staff members, and another person were all killed in a car crash in her home district on Wednesday. The 58-year-old Republican congresswoman was a House Ways and Means Committee member and had been in Congress since 2012.
Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to join in lowering their flags.
