(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Community Outpost is hosting an event for National Night Out on Tuesday.
The event is at the COP House at 600 13th Street South from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will include free food, root beer floats, music, yard games, and a chance to see first responder vehicles up close.
On the first Tuesday in August, neighbors are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside. Organizers say the night is designed to meet new neighbors and reconnect with current ones, build neighborhood involvement by bringing police and community together and bring awareness to crime prevention.
