(KNSI) — Avon-based Blattner Company has been named one of the top solar contractors in the country.
Industry magazine Solar Power World which does the rankings placed Blattner Company at number two out of 411 companies on the list for 2022. According to a press release, Solar Power World compiles the list of top solar contractors yearly. Solar firms in the utility, commercial and residential markets are ranked by kilowatts installed in the previous year. Companies are grouped and listed by specific services, markets, and states.

The U.S. solar industry saw record solar and energy storage demand in 2021, despite concerns over supply chain interruptions and tariff investigations. In response to this demand, officials with Blattner Company say it had one of its busiest years yet.
Blattner, which began solar services in 2009, worked on 29 renewable projects in 11 states in 2021. Blattner team members installed 4,532,150 solar panels in 2021 that supported the delivery of 6,664 megawatts of clean energy projects. In terms of just solar, those panels supported 1,633 megawatts of clean energy projects delivered.
