(KNSI) – St. Cloud Hospital is one of 15 facilities across Minnesota to be acknowledged by the American Health Association.
The recognition is for improving patient outcomes for those stricken with a stroke or heart attack. The Get With The Guidelines program looks at whether hospitals are ensuring access to care. CentraCare received eight separate awards as part of the evaluation.
The AHA explains the criteria for each distinction online. As an example, to receive the Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite recognition a facility has to treat 85% of stroke patients in an hour or less from when they come through the door of the hospital.
