(KNSI) – Six high school seniors took to the field at last Friday’s St. Cloud Rox game to be honored as scholarship winners.

The Project S.A.V.E. Foundation is a charity run by the baseball club dedicated to rewarding sports, arts, volunteerism, and education initiatives. Each scholarship amounts to $2,000.

The awardees were winnowed down from a deep pool of applicants, hailing from 41 cities across central Minnesota. A panel of business leaders made the final selections. The full list is below.

* Clare Donnett, Holy Spirit Academy (Monticello, MN)
* Kailee Falconer, Cathedral High School (St. Cloud, MN)
* Owen Haubenschild, Princeton High School (Princeton, MN)
* Peyton Krumrei, Albany Area High School (Albany, MN)
* Lindsey Redepenning, Elk River High School (Elk River, MN)
* Kira Salner, St. Cloud Technical High School (St. Cloud, MN)

The Project S.A.V.E. Foundation has now given out roughly $37,000 in educational scholarships since its founding in 2019.
