(KNSI) – CentraCare St. Cloud is the third best hospital in Minnesota, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The campus was rated as high performing in several areas, including treatment for colon and prostate cancer, heart attacks, bypass surgery, heart failure, kidney failure, pneumonia and COPD.
The success in those areas translates to a national ranking for cardiology and heart surgery, as well as pulmonology and lung surgery. To receive a national honor, the hospital has to place in the top 50 out of over 4,500 facilities.
Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Abbott Northwestern of Minneapolis were the only locations to score higher in the magazine’s state rankings. St. Cloud Hospital was the lone central Minnesota facility to make the top 10.
