(KNSI) — A 51-year-old Wisconsin woman was injured after she was hit by a moving train in Delano.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a call of a woman who had reportedly been injured by a train at 2:07 a.m. Friday. Deputies found Heather Sinkel lying on the tracks. She reportedly tried to cross between two of the parked train cars when it started moving. The two others she was with said Sinkel fell and became stuck below the cars.

Deputies and rescuers from the Delano Fire department took life-saving measures, and she was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Authorities say Sinkel was seriously injured but did not list her condition.
