(KNSI) – New Herberger Business School Dean Katherina Pattit says she wants to be a part of the significant changes coming to Saint Cloud State University.
“What really fascinated me about the opportunity is some of the exciting programming and initiatives, and new kind of strategic vision that’s taking place at Saint Cloud State University. And that includes Herberger’s.”
Pattit says she was very impressed after having conversations with SCSU President Robbyn Wacker.
Pattit has spent the past 14 years at the University of Saint Thomas as a professor. She says her experience as a department chair and helping develop UST’s 2025 strategic plan sparked an interest in a larger administrative role.
Pattit says the campus is relatively calm right now and she is taking advantage of that to gradually introduce herself to faculty and the city as a whole.
“I’m really looking forward to, and enjoying some of the opportunities so far, that I’ve had to meet with some of the members of the community and the various stakeholders. So, that’s been one of the more exciting pieces of my 2.5 weeks here so far.”
She says the interactions are enough to pick up on what faculty are excited about, whether that is ongoing research or things happening in the classroom. Pattit says she has been particularly impressed by the new streamlined MBA curriculum. The online program requires only 30 credits, which helps keep graduate school affordable.
