(KNSI) – Police released more details after four people were shot in south St. Cloud on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the shooting at 5:47 p.m. in the alley between 5th Avenue South and 6th Avenue South near 11th Street South. First responders found a 21-year-old St. Cloud man with a gunshot wound to the head and took him to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. While at the scene, police were told three more people had shown up at the hospital with gunshot wounds.

They included a 21 St. Cloud man with a wound to the chest, a 19-year-old Mora man with a wound to the elbow and a 15-year-old St. Cloud boy with a wound to his neck and shoulder. The 21-year-old shot in the head has been released from the hospital. Police say the other victims remain in serious but stable condition.

Investigators say there was a heated verbal argument between two groups. Police say at some point during the argument multiple people pulled guns and fired numerous shots. Police say the cause of the altercation is under investigation. Officers say it appears the shooting was related to a physical fight the previous evening between the two groups.

No arrests have been made. The shooting remains under investigation.
