(KNSI) – The Bernick Family Foundation will be accepting grant applications until August 31st. The organization awards between $5,000 and $40,000 for projects aimed at improving child-focused programs each year.

In 2021, Waite Park youth baseball received one of the largest amounts handed out. The Babe Ruth Complex got $27,230 for facility improvements, including batting cages and an updated scoreboard.

Other big winners were the Dassel-Cokato School District and Chester Bowl Improvement Club.

Applicants must be charity nonprofit organizations, school districts, or other government entities located in a market where Bernick’s operates. Projects are only eligible if they aid youth initiatives, such as career preparation or sports and recreation.
