(KNSI) – Saint Cloud State University has announced Katherina Pattit as the new dean of the Herberger Business School. Pattit will take over the role on Friday.

She comes to SCSU from St. Thomas University, where she has been a professor and department chair since 2008. According to the Opus College of Business’s faculty page, Pattit’s research interests deal with a wide variety of business ethics topics. Most recently, she has been studying how companies monitor employee social media pages and how corporate social responsibility pledges are being implemented in Africa.

Pattit “also specializes in online and blended course design and delivery,” which could offer some clues for her vision for the Herberger Business School in the coming years.

Pattit received the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration from Germany’s Friedrich-Alexander University and a Ph.D. from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Her studies were in management and accounting, marketing, international business, and business ethics.
