(KNSI) — Three people have been charged after a package containing thousands of fentanyl pills headed for St. Cloud was intercepted at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport.

According to the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, on June 6th, they received information from investigators with the Minneapolis Airport Police that they found 5,600 fentanyl pills on their way to an address in the 1700 block of 7th Avenue South in St. Cloud. They executed a search warrant at the address and arrested 33-year-old Daeshawna Kay West. She has been charged with first-degree drug possession for taking custody of the package containing the pills. Investigators say they also found a large amount of marijuana in the home and arrested 43-year-old Angela Marie Imdieke. She has been charged with fifth-degree drug possession.

Police say 31-year-old Eric Antonio Dodd was also charged with first-degree drug possession for ordering the pills from Arizona but was not at home at the time of the search warrant. Dodd was already wanted for second-degree assault and felon in possession of a firearm stemming from a shooting in the 500 block of 17th Avenue North in St. Cloud on May 21st.

June 17th, investigators from the task force and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension found Dodd at a convenience store in the 2200 block of West Division Street. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Stearns County jail.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force is made up of Investigators from St. Cloud and Sartell Police Departments and deputies from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, and Morrison Counties.
