(KNSI) – Around 30 homes had to be evacuated due to flooding after nearly eight inches of rain fell near Randall.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says they started getting reports of flooding in downtown Randall around 2:45 a.m. on Friday. Emergency personnel responded and began evacuating residences using rescue boats.
Those displaced by flooding have been taken to Dr. S.G. Knight School, St. James Catholic Church and the Randall Presbyterian Church. There have been no reported injuries.
Due to the flooding, several roads have been closed, and detours have been set up. Highway 10 is closed from Little Falls to Motley and all streets in the city of Randall east of Hwy 10 are closed.
At this point, we are asking the public to stay away from the Randall area so emergency personnel can do their jobs effectively.
