(KNSI) – The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office has received a donation of unique toys to help children going through a difficult time.
According to the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, a group of visitors brought the toys for children who need a day brightener. Gary Garberg (second from right) and his volunteers dropped off nearly 200 wooden cars that will be placed in deputies’ squad cars.
Garberg and his volunteers make the toys near his home on Julia Lake near Clear Lake. State Farm insurance agent Travis Williams (far right) donates the wood for the cars. Other volunteers who delivered the toys were Mike Sedlak (far left), Suzanne Maus (second from left) and Liam Pederson (middle).
Gary welcomes volunteers for Midwest Wooden Toys; he can be reached at midwestwoodentoys@gmail.com or at (702)205-9452.
