(KNSI) – The next generation of Vikings greats could be discovered today in Milaca. The Purple and Gold are hosting a youth camp, one of ten planned throughout this year, that instructs kids in the basics of the game.

The camps are open to children ages 6-15. Tuesday’s event runs from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Milaca High School located at 500 MN-23. The camps are non-contact and open to both boys and girls. The Vikings are actively promoting flag football for girls at the middle school level, with the hope that it grows into a varsity sport in the future.

Coaches and Viking alumni are instructing the camp participants. While the jury is still out on whether there are any future NFL players in attendance, we can be sure there are potential stars for the Wolves and surrounding school districts.
