(KNSI) — Sartell Middle School has a new principal.
The Sartell-St. Stephen School District has selected Angela Safran as the new Sartell Middle School principal in the 2022-2023 school year.
A press release from the district says Safran has served as the principal for Holdingford Secondary School for grades 7-12 and the district assessment coordinator since 2018. For the previous nine years at Holdingford Secondary School, Safran taught language arts and college-in-the-schools writing and literature. Safran began her teaching career in New York at Webster Schroeder High School.
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Ridelhoover said there were many exceptional candidates, but Safran “stood apart thanks to her experience as a secondary administrator, her instructional leadership, and engaging personality. We are excited for Angela to share her leadership experience with our 6-8 grade students, staff, and families.”
Safran stated, “I have worked with middle and high school students for nearly 20 years and I am thrilled to become part of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District’s team. The District is known for its high standards, excellence, and community support.”
Safran succeeds Sartell Middle School Principal Laura Arndt, who accepted a position with the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District.
