(KNSI) — Sartell Summerfest is back on June 11th.

The day-long celebration starts with the Granite Logistics Parade. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and will have an alternate route in 2022 due to road construction on County Road 1.

City of Sartell Engagement Director Nikki Sweeter says, “The homecoming parade has the same route as the Summerfest route that we’ve selected this year, just to try and give people some consistency.” It starts at the school district offices and ends at Riverview Intermediate School.

The Libertyville kids events feature face painting, bounce houses, games, and other free activities, including a BBQ. Libertyville is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sartell City Hall.

Sweeter says, “There’s lots of kids games and activities, face painting, and inflatables. Our partners at Liberty Savings Bank, they put this on and they just do a fabulous job every year. VoitJohnson Realty, they help with the food part. So there is free food…burgers, hot dogs and things like that.”

Great River Bowl and Partners Pub Street Dance will feature the band Radio Nation in the Sartell City Hall parking lot. The dance starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes on until 10:00 p.m.

The day ends with the Summerfest fireworks at 10:15 p.m. from Pinemeadow Primary School. The fireworks will be viewable from the City Hall parking lot if you are attending the Street Dance. Otherwise, Sartell Middle School will have ample parking to view the fireworks and some limited lawn seating will be available on the west side of Pinemeadow School.

Summerfest was canceled in 2020 and modified last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information on the events, click here.
