Utility Work Scheduled for Maine Prairie Road

(KNSI) – Maine Prairie Road will be closed Wednesday for utility work. The St. Cloud Engineering Department says only a one-block stretch between 13th Street South and 25th Avenue South will be affected.

The closure is expected to last only one day, weather permitting. Current forecasts are for mostly sunny skies with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Located on that portion of Maine Prairie Road are an assortment of businesses and an apartment complex. Most structures have parking lots with access from nearby roads that are unaffected by the work, which should help keep traffic disruptions to a minimum. Detours include 25th Avenue South and West Saint Germain Street.
