(KNSI) – Waite Park’s Family Fun Fest is back after a two-year COVID hiatus. It is a slow burn early in the week. Monday marks the beginning of the medallion hunt. Listen between now and Friday at 8:20 AM on 99.9 Lite FM for the clue of the day. A winner will be selected on the festival’s final evening and announced at the community park.

Monday’s other event is a pickle ball open house beginning at 6:00 PM. That will be at the Rivers Edge Park along with Tuesday’s disc golf. Participants are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts to tie into this year’s theme, “The Ocean is Calling.”

President Michael Bruemmer says the theme comes from the Kids Day movie selection, Disney’s Moana, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
