(KNSI) – Artwork created by two elementary school students has been chosen to be on display at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in downtown St. Paul.

Mississippi Heights Elementary students Kylie and Ayla made one of the 11 pieces of art featured during the annual Flint Hills Family Festival. The art called Best Friends was selected as part of the ARTwalk program’s experience wonder together theme. Students are asked to submit their creative works to a panel of experts and members of the Ordway Community Advisors Council.

Each piece of art will be enlarged and displayed in the windows of the Ordway and in the lobby throughout the festival, which runs from May 31st to June 4th. The art can also be viewed online and on the festival’s social media accounts.

Since 2003, ARTwalk has displayed hundreds of artistic works by children from dozens of Minnesota schools.
