(KNSI) – A University of Minnesota student’s body has been recovered from the Mississippi River. 19-year-old Austin Ray Retterath was reported missing early Sunday, May 8th. The school’s police department issued an alert soon after asking the public to be on the look out and warning that they were concerned for his safety.

The notice was officially canceled Friday afternoon after the Ramsey County Medical Examiner announced Retterath’s body had been found in the Mississippi River. He was located on Wednesday. No foul play is suspected in Retterath’s death.

Retterath is from Woodbury. He was last seen alive near the intersection of East River Road and Franklin Avenue, just south of campus.
