Cass Lake Man Killed in ATV Crash

(KNSI) – A man died after getting into an ATV accident near Cass Lake. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a 20 year old man was riding around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday in Pike Bay Township when the accident happened. The driver’s name wasn’t released.

Investigators say the man was on the Migizi Bike Trail when he lost control of a 2020 Polaris Sportsman ATV around a curve. The man veered into a tree.

He was rushed to Cass Lake Indian Health Services Hospital with serious injuries. He died at the hospital. The sheriff’s office says speed was a factor in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
