(KNSI) — St. Cloud Metro Bus announced Friday the return of its U-Go Free Program for kids 17 and younger.

The U-Go Free Program allows kids 17 and younger to have free, unlimited rides on all Metro Bus fixed routes and ConneX serving Sartell. No registration or pass is needed, according to CEO Ryan Daniel. “Kids can get to their summer activities for free using Metro Bus and we can teach them how to get to their specific destinations.” Daniel is referring to the Metro Bus Travel Training program, which is available for free to individuals of all ages, including kids. He adds, “The U-Go Free Program is a unique opportunity for youth to learn the Metro Bus Fixed Route system, gain independence by being able to travel safely on their own or with friends, and take the pressure off their parents to bring them to activities. It is a true win-win for our community!”

U-Go Free runs June 1st through August 31st.
