(KNSI) — Local law enforcement agencies say they are assisting the Minnesota State Patrol in cracking down on dangerous driving.
The Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright County Sheriff Departments are all participating, beginning Friday, May 6th. They’ll be patrolling Interstate 94 and Highway 25 in Wright County near Monticello, Highway 25, County Road 11, and County Road 14 in Sherburne County, and Interstate 94 and County Road 75 in Stearns County.
The joint action wraps up Wednesday, June 8th.
Officials say pulling motorists over for excessive speed and not wearing a seat belt are priorities as they say those are some of the top contributing factors to traffic-related fatailities.
