(KNSI) — Investigators are looking into the shooting of a 19-year-old near a busy Brooklyn Park gas station.
Police were called to Brooklyn Boulevard and Regent Avenue around 6:00 Tuesday evening. They found the man, who had been shot several times and was taken to the hospital. Witnesses told police several people were involved, but they all fled before officers arrived.
After a search, three people were arrested. One of them reportedly had a gun. Investigators say there were more than two dozen rounds fired from multiple weapons.
The investigation is ongoing. The victim’s name and condition have not been released.
U.S. Attorney Andy Luger announced this week that all 42 prosecutors in his office will be going after violent criminals after a surge in carjackings, shootings, murders and assaults around the Twin Cities.
