(KNSI) – A woman convicted of stabbing a man to death in St. Cloud has been sentenced.
Lindsay Rae Shelltrack-Miller was convicted in a bench trial of 2nd-degree murder for killing Justin Allen Berge last year. The 41-year-old woman has been sentenced to ten years and eight months in prison and given credit for 373 days already served on Tuesday. The St. Cloud woman has also been ordered to pay $13,906.65 in restitution.
On April 19th, 2021, Shelltrack-Miller called 911 and said she stabbed a man. She told investigators she got into an argument with Berge. She claimed he “came after her,” so she maced him. She said he continued to come toward her, so she pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
Police arrived on the scene and found the St. Cloud man in the alley behind the home. He was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital, where he died.
The criminal complaint says a video shows Berge running around his vehicle to get away from Shelltrack-Miller. He kept running through the alley as she chased him. The video showed Shelltrack-Miller latching onto the back of Berge and she ends up on the ground. As Berge is collecting items from the ground, Shelltrack-Miller is seen kicking him repeatedly and maces him. Berge is seen trying to restrain her. She is then seen reaching into a fanny pack, pulling out a knife, and stabbing Berge in the chest.
