UPDATE: 2:45 p.m. – Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is once again open to the public.
Original Story: (KNSI) – Quarry Park and Nature Preserve is closed on Tuesday for a prescribed burn. Quarry Park in Waite Park is one of several the county will use fire to help clear underbrush and promote new growth.
Stearns County officials say prescribed burns are used to achieve a variety of management goals. Stearns County will post updates to its Facebook page.
