(KNSI) – A lifelong St. Cloud resident and business owner is celebrating his 80th birthday with an open house on Friday. Miller Marine’s Tom Miller is taking time to talk with business associates, friends and customers from 1-4 p.m. Attendants can get cake, cookies and good conversation. Tom says turning 80 doesn’t bother him.

“As far as turning 80, it’s a number. If you got your health, your young. If you don’t, you’re old, it doesn’t really matter.”
The party and open house was put together by his daughters, Janelle Richart and Tammy Ferns.
“They threw this together. They’re having fun doing it. And I guess 80 years old, being in business for over 60 years, I’m certainly enjoying it. The biggest thing is I get to meet a lot of people that I haven’t seen in a while.”
Tom started selling cars 60 years ago and 32 years ago added a boat dealership. He sold the car lot two years ago.
