Highway 15 Construction Resuming in May

(KNSI) – Road work in Kimball is back on. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 15 construction will restart on Monday, May 2nd.

The project was all set to begin earlier this month with a detour in place, but a last-second permitting snafu regarding the railroad that cuts through the city put a halt to plans. The issue has been resolved according to MnDOT.

Those who live, work, or intend to visit Kimball can still enter the work zone, although there could be some alternate routes, or even alleys, that will have to be used to get to your final destination. Through traffic is not permitted. A detour will be set in place when construction resumes, taking commuters on a nearly 18-mile circuit. The map is below.
