(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University has an opportunity for middle and high school students looking at a healthcare career. Registration is open for the annual Scrubs Camp from July 26th to 28th. The 2022 camp theme is Technology in Healthcare.

Sixty students in 7th through 12th grade can learn from those learning the profession at SCSU and St. Cloud Technical and Community College and CentraCare Health. Campers will learn the healthcare industry uses technology to save lives and heal the sick.

The camp will also explore alternative medicines like acupuncture and chiropractic services. The group will also take a field trip to the St. Cloud State Planetarium.

Scholarships are available to families who qualify. To be eligible for a scholarship, students must be on free and reduced lunch, be a Minnesota resident and have at least a 2.0-grade point average.  SCSU’s first scrubs camp was held in June 2016.
