(KNSI) – A Foley man has been accused of groping a woman while she was asleep. On Sunday afternoon, a woman called the police and said Bryce Holewa had sexually assaulted her.
According to the criminal complaint, Holewa, the victim and others had been out bowling the night before and went to a home in Foley to sleep. The 21-year-old man went to sleep in a bed with the victim and another woman. The victim said Holewa had his hand in her underwear and on her breast when she woke up. She told police she was in a state of shock and could not speak when she was being touched. The woman says she has known Holewa since high school.
Investigators say she sent text messages to Holewa and said he made her feel disgusting. Holewa allegedly sent a message apologizing for what had happened.
According to the complaint, a witness walked into the room and saw Holewa next to the victim. The witness stated he didn’t see where his hands were. The witness said Holewa told him that he believed the victim was his girlfriend.
Investigators say Holewa admitted having a lot to drink the night before. He stated he believed he was at home and was touching his girlfriend.
He’s been charged with 3rd and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct. He’s free on bond. Holewa’s next court hearing is April 19th.
