The Saint Cloud Norsemen are headed to the North American Hockey League playoffs. They sit atop the Central Division at the moment and clinched a postseason spot thanks to a weekend sweep of the Bismarck Bobcats.
The NAHL has a four-round playoff format. The top four teams from each division earn a spot followed by divisional semifinals and final, all best-of-five series. The teams that advance to the National Championship bracket are reseeded based on the total points accumulated in the regular season. The one seed meets the four seed and two plays three in best-of-three series. The final squads then face off for the coveted Robertson Cup in a championship game.
The Norsemen have never won the title.
