(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Friday, March 25th.
Forecasters say the area will see sustained northwest winds of 25 to 30 miles an hour, with gusts up to 50 are expected today. Unsecured objects like garbage bins, seat cushions for patio furniture, and backyard toys could all go flying today, so they say to bring them inside. Forecasters also warn that tree limbs could snap and take power lines down.
The gusty winds could also cause driving to be a tad tricky in higher profile vehicles such as larger SUVs and semi trucks.
The wind advisory is in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
