infield and fill out the battery when the season begins on May 30th.

Shortstop Peter Mendazona comes to Central Minnesota from the University of Nevada. He has prior summer league experience, playing for Bend in the West Coast League last year. Mendazona is batting just under .240 in his collegiate career.

Two Southern University Jaguars are also joining the team. First baseman O’Neill Burgos was the top prospect at his position coming out of Mississippi and lived up to the billing in his freshman year. Burgos hit .298 with five home runs as the Jags got to the national tournament. Gustavo Nava transferred to Southern from Highland Community College for the 2022 season.

The Rox home opener is Friday, June 3rd. They open the year at the Waterloo Bucks.
