(KNSI) – The field for the State Knowledge Bowl is set when the tournament kicks off on April 7th in Brainerd, and Central Minnesota is well represented. Teams from St. John’s, Holdingford, Melrose, North Branch, and Buffalo will all be on hand, vying for the title across three tiers.
The regional competition occurred mid-month in North Branch with 47 teams participating. Only two squads from each tier advanced. Holdingford and St. John’s tied with a final score of 101.5, and Holdingford was finally crowned after an extra frame this past Monday afternoon.
Melrose and North Branch made it out of Tier Two. Buffalo is sending both teams for Tier Three.
