(KNSI) — After almost 15 months and more than 100,000 vaccinations, officials with CentraCare say they will close its main COVID-19 vaccination site in St. Cloud next month.
The CentraCare South Point clinic has been open for vaccinations for both walk-ins and appointments since January 18th, 2021. CentraCare says it will transition COVID-19 vaccinations to other clinic locations as case numbers continue to decline around the state. The public is still encouraged to get vaccinated at any of the other clinics.
The last day for vaccinations at South Point will be April 15. After that, those wanting a vaccine can call 320-200-3200 for assistance with scheduling at a CentraCare clinic site. These clinics will charge a nominal administration fee as they do for any type of vaccination.
In a press release from CentraCare, its COVID Operations Manager Jessica Miller said that “Throughout the COVID-19 health emergency, CentraCare was pleased to be able to offer our community this free and easy access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Since its opening, the South Point team has administered more than 100,800 doses of the vaccine.”
