Spring Road Restrictions Go Into Effect Friday

(KNSI) — In a sure sign of spring’s arrival, the seasonal road restrictions take effect Friday, March 18th.

According to a press release from Stearns County, weight limits for heavy-duty trucks are five tons per axle on unpaved streets and ten tons per axle on paved streets.

In Benton County, the road restrictions go into effect Friday. A press release states the limits will be posted on county roads, and an online map is available.

All restrictions are gross axle weights. The weight limits are needed to help minimize unnecessary damage to roads.
