(KNSI) — A truck driver had to be extricated from his rig Friday morning following a rollover crash near Melrose.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says about 3:00; a 911 call came in for a semi-truck that had rolled onto its side on County Road 65 near Oak Township, about one mile east of Melrose. The caller told dispatchers it appeared the driver was the only person in the cab.
Officers arrived and found the man was trapped in the cab and had to be extricated. He was taken to the Melrose Hospital by ambulance.
The load he was hauling contained about 40,000 pounds of milk.
Crash investigators say the roads were icy at the time.
