(KNSI) – A school bus driver was shot Wednesday afternoon in North Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis Police Department says officers were sent to the intersection of 37th and Girard avenue around 2:15 Wednesday. Officers found the driver was shot in the head, but the injury was not life-threatening. Officers rendered assistance until paramedics arrived. He was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.
Officers at the scene say three children were on the bus at the time of the shooting, and none of them were hurt. Officers dropped the children off at their homes.
Investigators are searching for suspects.
