(KNSI) — A Sun Country Airlines 737 bound for Minnesota made a hard landing at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas after the plane suffered a landing gear malfunction at takeoff Friday morning.

According to a statement from the airline, at approximately 1:18 a.m. Pacific time, Sun Country 110 returned to McCarran shortly after takeoff. Upon landing, the “aircraft’s right landing gear malfunctioned, causing the aircraft to stop on the runway.” All 50 passengers and six crew members safety deplaned via airstairs and were shuttled back to the terminal.

There were no reports of any injuries.

“We will first and foremost take care of our passengers and crew,” said Sun Country CEO Jude Bricker. “We will then fully investigate this incident to understand what happened.”

The National Transportation Safety Board, local Las Vegas authorities and Sun Country Airlines are all looking into the failure.
